ABOUT
Neil Richter is a Stockholm-based bass player, performance composer, arranger, and photographer with a love for shaping atmosphere as much as groove. Moving between double bass, electric bass, and bass synth, he enjoys blurring genre lines and building sonic worlds that feel both grounded and playful.
His musical path began at the piano and wandered through jazz, orchestral music, and international stages before settling into a broad artistic practice spanning classical, jazz, funk, hip-hop, rock, fusion, and electronic music. Along the way, he’s collaborated with a wide range of artist.
Currently completing his Master’s of Performance at the Royal Academy of Music (KMH) in Stockholm, Neil’s degree project Phantasmagoria brings together composition and performance with a focus on co-creation and interplay.
Phantasmagoria
The music moves seamlessly between the composed and the improvised, with a deep sense of co-creation.
Phantasmagoria is a quartet consisting of bass, drums, guitar and piano. The music is an ever-changing collection of sonic gestures, seen or heard. The project focuses on compositions that explore the boundaries of interplay, improvisation and interaction through empathic responsiveness. By "de-centering" themselves from their own musical perspectives, the musicians enter a heightened state that allows each individual voice to dare to take creative risks, where each musician cultivates a mutual responsiveness.
Svante Qvennerstedt - Guitar
Johann Fritsche - piano
Felix Kling - Drums
Neil Richter - Bass

Zielkes Zeltlager
Ein Zeltlager. Magischer Ort.
Jonathan Zielke - Guitar
Hannes Kempa - Tenor Saxophone
Valentin Steinle - Drums

Myrslok
Be surprised by an attentive Myrslok, awakened by a melody, a rhythm, a memory — the music is shaped in the moment. Original pieces drift into improvisation, ideas come and go, sometimes never to return. A Myrslok is never afraid of being perceived as “strange”; honestly, that’s her thing. What she truly fears is the smallest departure from her own impulse. With every concert, Myrslok walks into unknown terrain. Sometimes gentle. Sometimes frenetic. Sometimes strange

Amadeus Wedberg - Drums
